


Trigun is an incredible combination of sci-fi and western. If seeing sci-fi and western together in that last sentence wasn't enough to turn you away, keep reading. The series revolves around a man called Vash, a.k.a Vash the Stampede, a.k.a The Humanoid Typhoon, a.k.a The 60 Billion DoubleDollar Man, a.k.a that weepy guy eating the donuts... you get the idea. At heart, this guy would like nothing more than to play with kids and munch on baked goods for the rest of his life (a noble ambition), but, unfortunately, all the bounty hunters and assorted genetic freaks after the gigantic price tag on his head just keep getting in the way. The first episode introduces Vash, Meryl Stryfe, and Milly Thompson. Milly and Meryl are insurance agents from the Bernardelli Insurance Society, a company that's tired of paying off claims related to all of Vash's chaos and destruction.
One of the most interesting things about Trigun is that it doesn't follow the usual formula of guns + blood + mass homicide = a damn good half an hour.
